NEXT IS ITEM B, WHICH IS CONSIDERATION WERE ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE COMMERCIAL LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN MAORI HOT REAL ESTATE LLC AND THE CITY OF PETERSBURG FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 30 FRANKLIN STREET. PETERSBURG, VIRGINIA. THIS SURE. MAJOR MEMBERS OF COUNCIL. WE WERE ASKED TO GO BACK AND MAKE SOME ADJUSTMENTS TO THE AGREEMENT. WE REDUCED IT DOWN TO A ONE YEAR AGREEMENT WITH ONE TERM AS REQUESTED BY COUNCIL. WE REQUEST YOUR APPROVAL FOR THE ORDINANCE AS WELL AS THE LEAST. ALL RIGHT, UM, COUNSELING COOPER. I MOVE THAT WE. NOW LOOKING AT THE AGENDA FOR TONIGHT, I THINK IT'S UP THERE. IT SAYS IT WILL BE USED BY DEPARTMENTS OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND PLANNING. BUT BACK IN ON JUNE 21ST. IT WAS GOING TO BE THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. AND COMMUNICATIONS. SO I'M NOT EVEN SURE YOU KNOW, HELP. HOW AND WHY? THAT'S CHANGED IF IT WAS EXPLAINED IN THERE. WE CAN'T FIND ANY PLACE TO LEASE IN THE CITY. SO WE FLIPPED THE COIN. IT EITHER WENT TO THE ONE COUNSELOR WHO'S A FACILITIES MANAGER AND SEVERAL BUILDINGS IN PETERSBURG. OR WE COULD HAVE AT LEAST IT FROM THE OTHER COUNSELOR WHO OWNS A WHOLE LOT OF PROPERTY AND DOWNTOWN PETERSBURG. NO, I KNOW I'M BEING FUNNY, BUT IT'S STILL IT DOES.

IT DOES HAVE THAT AN INTERESTING FLAVOR TO IT SINCE 30 FRANKLIN STREET IS, UM COUNCILOR MYERS IS A FACILITIES MANAGER THERE. SO I HOPE. I HOPE THIS IS THE KIND OF THING THAT YOU WOULD TAKE UNDER ADVISEMENT AS YOU GO FORWARD AND DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT YOU'RE GOING TO APPROVE THIS. I THINK IT NEEDS MORE.
