THE REHABILITATION OF THE WASTEWATER PUMPING STATION, PORT CREEK PUMPING STATION, AND THEN THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ADDITIONAL THIRD PRESSURE ZONE FOR THE CITY, WHICH IS A HIGHER PRESSURE ZONE, PROVIDE BETTER WATER SERVICE TO THE SOUTH SOUTHEASTERN PORTION OF THE CITY, WHICH INCLUDES THE NEW WATER BOOSTER PUMP STATION, WHICH IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT WALNUT HILL TANK. THE NEW WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN DOWN 301, AND THE NEW WATER STORAGE TANK, WHICH IS OFF NORMANDY DRIVE NEAR 95. SO LET ME SHOW YOU A FEW PICTURES HERE AND BRING YOU UP TO SPEED. SO AS THIS SAYS, THE FLEET BRANCH RESTORATION PROJECT HAS KICKED OFF. SO WE'VE GOT A LOT OF OTHER PROJECTS THAT ARE GETTING READY TO KICK OFF ON THE STORMWATER SIDE. SO YOU CAN SEE THAT FROM ALL THE STUDIES. WE'RE ACTIVELY PUTTING THESE INTO EFFECT AND MAKING PROJECTS OUT OF THESE RATHER THAN JUST STUDYING. AND THE STUDIES HAVE RESULTED IN US MAKING PROJECTS. BUT THEN WHEN IT COMES TO ALL THESE ROOFING SIGNS AND DIABETES SIGNS AND SIGNS FOR THIS AND SIGNS FOR THAT, THEY'RE ALL OVER THE PLACE AND THEY DON'T NOBODY WANT TO TAKE THEM UP. I WANT ALL THE SIGNS TAKEN UP THERE AND THE RIGHT OF WAY. AND I JUST TALKED TO SOMEONE TODAY. THEY SAID WE DIDN'T KNOW IF THEY GOT A PERMIT TO PUT THOSE SIGNS. Y'ALL KNOW THEY DON'T. NOW I GET THE PUBLIC WORKS. THEY CAME DOWN IN OLD TOWN AND THEY CLEANED UP A COUPLE OF COUPLE OF DAYS AGO AND EVERYTHING WAS NICE. CAME BACK THERE THE NEXT DAY, TRASH EVERYWHERE. AND SOME OF THAT IS ON THE OWNERS, BECAUSE I HAD TO SEND SOMEONE THERE TO GET ONE OF THE BUSINESSES HAD TRASH STACKED UP EVERYWHERE AND PAPER WAS BLOWING EVERYWHERE. BUT WE HAVE TO GET A HOLD OF THIS. IT'S GOING TO BE MANY PEOPLE THAT'S GOING TO BE COMING TO THE CITY, AND WE DON'T WANT TO BE KNOWN AS A FILTHY CITY. I KNOW THERE'S A PLAN, BUT I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS THE PLAN. NO, I AGREE WITH YOU, COUNCILMAN, AS FAR AS FOR WHAT I WOULD CALL WAS, WOULD BE THE DERELICT SIGNS THAT ARE IN THE RIGHT OF WAY. AND THOSE ARE ILLEGAL BECAUSE THEY CAN PLACE THOSE ON THE PUBLIC PROPERTY AS MUCH AS THEY WANT TO. BUT IT WOULD JUST TAKE AN INITIATIVE ON OUR PART TO WHEN WE SEE THEM, THAT WE'RE GOING TO REMOVE THEM, RATHER THAN WAIT AND TRY TO CALL SOMEBODY AND SAY, PICK IT UP.
